MUHARRAM:
By the grace of Almighty Allah (SWT), the month of Muharram is upon us. Program for Muharram will commence on Wednesday, the 9th of February 2005.

DAILY PROGRAM:
Daily Programs will include the following:
Ladies Majlis in the morning.
Majlis at night for Ladies and Gents - Sura-e-Yaasin, Marsiya, 10 minutes lecture in English by Youths, Majlis in English/Urdu, Matam, and Ziyarat. Tuesdays we will have Dua-e-Tawassul after Sura-e-Yaasin and Thursdays we will have Dua-e-Kumayl.

SPEAKERS:
We are pleased to inform that our Chief Guest Speakers for the 12 days of Muharram are Sheikh Mahmood Abdallah and Zakira Rozmin Khimji from England.

FUND RAISING:
Numerous expenses are involved during the month of Muharram and Saffar. To facilitate service to our respected community members. Keeping in mind of the expenses incurred we request all our members to please come forward and be generous to contribute from $100-$200 or more per family to overcome these expenses for the two months.

• Anyone who wishes to recite Yaasin, Hadisse-Kissa, Marshya or youth lecture please contact sister Sajida Pirbhai.

• Anyone who wishes to recite Nawhas or Ziyarat, please contact sister Mumtaz Ladak and sister Zohra Virjee.

• Anyone who wishes to participate in holding lash/Alam please contact sister Munira Habib, Sister Nargis AbdulHussein, Sister Marziya Kermalli, Sister Kaniz Jagani and Sister Waheeda Sachoo.

• Collecting Funds and overall cordinator is Sister Sidika Manji.

NOTE:

• Any soliciting of funds/sales from HIC members for whatever reasons must have an approval of the Managing Committee.

• Members are requested to direct their questions/suggestions to hic@husseini-islamic.org

• Nyaz will only be served when there is availability of sponsors.

• If there are any changes to the programs, members will be notified by email.

Members are requested to take maximum benefit of the services provided by our respective guest speakers and in order to avoid any clashes of time, we request members to contact Br. Mohamed Kassam for engagements with Maulana and Sr. Siddika Manji for engagements with the Zakira.

The Managing Committee would like to request members to give full support to the members of the Muharram/Saffar Sub-Committee.
